Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Culls Games LLC (“we”) handles personal data when you use CULLS. We aim to collect only what the game needs to function.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — managed by our authentication provider, Clerk: your email address, username, and (if you use Google sign-in) the basic profile Google returns. We store a Clerk user identifier to link your games and profile.
• Gameplay data — games you play, moves, ratings, and culls.
• Profile data — anything you choose to add (display name, bio, country) and your profile visibility setting.
• Operational data — minimal logs and error reports used to keep the service running and secure.
• Anonymous puzzle statistics — a random identifier stored in your browser and sent with events about the Daily Cullzle (viewed, solved, shared, and which doors you used); it is not linked to an account, identifies no one, can be turned off in Settings, and we keep these rows for at most 90 days.

2. How we use it

To run multiplayer games, compute ratings and leaderboards, show profiles, send game invites you initiate, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing

We share data only with the processors that operate the service — Clerk (authentication), our hosting and database providers, and our email provider for invites you send. Public profile and leaderboard information is visible to other users; you can set your profile to private in Settings.

4. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can delete your account and export your data — see our Data & deletion page — or contact us.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data; to preserve other players’ game history, your past games may be retained in an anonymised form (your identity disassociated).

The anonymous Daily Cullzle statistics in §1 are not attached to an account, so that account-based retention cannot reach them; they are bounded by time instead — we delete them once they are more than 90 days old, whether or not you have an account.
